Preparation tips from toppers

GK carries the most weight

General Knowledge accounts for 40% of PPSC marks. This is where most candidates win or lose. Focus here first - every extra GK mark is worth double a subject-specific mark.

PPSC pattern repeats itself

PPSC recycles the same question patterns across different posts. Practise 5 years of PPSC past papers before the exam. You will notice the same topics appearing again and again.

PPSC has negative marking like FPSC

PPSC deducts 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Do not guess randomly. Unlike NTS, every wrong answer costs you. Only attempt questions you are confident about.

Focus on Punjab-specific knowledge

PPSC often includes Punjab-specific questions - Punjab history, Punjab geography, Lahore facts, Punjab government structure. These are easy marks that most candidates miss.
