Explanation: Admiral Naveed Ashraf is the current Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) of Pakistan, having assumed command on October 7, 2023. He is Pakistan's 23rd Naval Chief. Commissioned into the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1989, he holds degrees from the National Defense University, Islamabad, the US Naval War College, and the UK's Royal College of Defense Studies. He previously served as Commander Pakistan Fleet, Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy, and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff. He was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Basalat for exceptional professional services. He succeeded Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.
