Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad is also the Imam and Khatib of the historic Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, and the son of the renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Abdul Qadir Azad. He most recently presided over the Zilhaj moon sighting on May 17, 2026, confirming Eid al-Azha on May 27, 2026.
