A retired bureaucrat from Sargodha, he previously served as Railways Secretary, Petroleum Secretary, and Chief Secretary of both Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. His five-year tenure ended on January 8, 2025, but he continues in a caretaker capacity until a successor is formally appointed.
